Elgar is a tall large flowered gladiolus, lavender blue shading to white at the throat particularly on its lower florets.  Eight to 9 florets open at one time.  This beautiful mid-season variety is of exhibition quality, stands out towards the back of a border and makes a lovely cut flower.
