Tulipa ‘American Dream’

Description

American Dream is a Division 4 – Darwin Hybrid long-stemmed tulip that flowers mid-season. On cool mornings the outside of the petals of the closed cup shade from orange to creamy yellow, but as the cup opens during the day it reveals kaleidoscopic bands of colour on the inside ranging from almost red through orange and yellow around a centre marked with black. The variety is suitable for garden and patio pot use and provides a welcome blaze of springtime colour.
