Fritillaria (Autumn Planted Bulbs) Cultivation

Planting from late September onwards. Large fritillaria (Rubra, Aurora and Persica) should be planted on their side to stop the centre hole of the bulb becoming waterlogged. Again use plenty of sharp sand to help with drainage. Large bulbs should be planted at least 6” deep.
