This group of dahlias is characterised by their ring, or few rings, of florets surrounding a central exposed disc. Although some varieties may have flowers as small as 5 cm across in the majority they are around 10 cm in diameter.
With their relatively simple conformation and open discs they are attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. With their vibrant colours and graceful foliage they brighten gardens and integrate well into borders providing elegance and colour from midsummer until the first frosts. They are popular as patio plants and look good as cut flowers arranged in a vase. Varieties within this group have featured prominently in the revival of interest in and increasing popularity of dahlias.
Our collection includes many well-known and some newer varieties with a full pallette of colours.
